We hope you enjoy this website. Our local history and culture are unique, so we have painted both on the buildings of our town. The Ludington Mural Society has produced a total of twelve Ludington murals. The Mural Society has made great efforts to document and preserve local history in a series of colorful murals.
Ludington can never "go back" to what it was in 1875 or 1900 or even 1950. But through the medium of historical murals the Ludington Mural Society aims to capture the story of the past for local residents and visitors alike.
Our town is special because it possesses a warm and enduring spirit. In the face of every adversity - a disastrous fire in 1881, the decline and end of the local lumber industry, the manufacturing and transportation challenges of two world wars, and modern challenges of a rapidly-changing world - Ludington has come though and prospered.
And we think you are special, too. If you sense this, then you have experienced the unique character and atmosphere of Ludington. After you get home and whenever you page though this website, enjoy the murals and remember us - your friends in Ludington.
Again, thanks for visiting us.
We hope you will return.
